Finally Finished

Image
It took me a couple weeks but finally finished the little wood jewel box.   I even had a few polymer clay tiles left over.  I think I will try another, but smaller box with legs.                                                  I decided I would sell the box so have posted to my Etsy shop    http://www.etsy.com/listing/174156626/tiled-and-embellished-wood-jewel-box?ref=shop_home_feat       Time to take the Christmas tree down and put all the decorations away for another year.   Time to think about the direction I want to go with my art in 2014.   Winter sales were not good, not sure which shows I want to try next.  I do know, no more bazaars, or neighborhood street fairs.    I think I tried too hard to come up with product to sell and got to many different things.  I need to narrow it down to maybe 3 or 4 items plus my originals and prints.   Time to regroup.  Onward to a new year.   Thanks for visiting. It's Wednesday Already

Time for the weekly What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.  Follow the link to find out what I am talking about.   http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/2013/12/whats-on-your-workdesk-wednesday-236.html I'm posting this from my iPad and I still don't like the Blogger app it just doesn't do what my PC will do.  But it is handy.  Can't do without it anymore.   I am working on a little jewel box.  The top is covered with some tiles I made with polymer clay.  Then I embellished it with beads and other found treasures.  The box itself is covered with paper, I may doodle a little around the edges, not sure yet.  It's a piece that has taken on a mind of it's own.  So we shall see where it takes me.   So that's where I am this sunny Wednesday afternoon.   Have a great day, thanks for visiting. Featured Artist

Image
Just a little excitement today I discovered I am the Featured Artist on Dharma Trading Company  website. I had purchased some fabric pens from their website to paint my Toms shoes.  I noticed back in July they were looking for artist submission.  So I sent in a response along with photos then proceeded to forget about it.  You just can't sit and wait for a response every time you submit something. These are the products I bought and tried them all.    Dharma Products Used Tee Juice Fabric Markers - 3 Sizes Identipen Dual Tip Fabric Pens Deco Just Glitter Fabric Markers   I was just so excited I needed to share this with my followers.  Exposure is always a good thing.  Also, this tells me to keep submitting my work.  I get discouraged at times,  I know my work doesn't appeal to everyone, which is fine I understand that,  I do what I like for me.  But it just means I need to reach further then just my community to sell my art.    Down
